Abigail Disney Calls Jessa Duggar a Coward for Not Calling Her Miscarriage an Abortion
/Abigail Disney, the heiress of the magical world of Disney, called Jessa Duggar Seewald a coward for not referring to her miscarriage as an abortion.
Jessa Duggar Seewald, from 19 Kids and Counting fame, revealed she suffered a miscarriage during the holidays. On Youtube, Jessa explained she was worried about early spotting and felt sicker than usual. After an ultrasound, the doctors said it didn’t look good. “At that moment I was just in complete shock. I didn’t have words. I just immediately started crying.”
Duggar Seewald had a D&C (dilation and curettage), which is a process to remove tissue from inside your uterus. After Roe v. Wade was overturned, abortion activists created so much propaganda conflating spontaneous abortions (miscarriages) with induced abortions, pro-choice women are beginning to believe that simply having a D&C is an abortion, which is not the case. During a first-trimester abortion, an abortionist may perform a suction D&C, using a powerful suction tool to dismember and kill the baby. Then, a curette is used to scrape up whatever pieces may remain, to protect a mother from infection from her child’s corpse.
“She didn’t have a miscarriage,” Disney tweeted on Monday afternoon. “She had a D&C. Which is also called an abortion and would be illegal in many states under laws she herself supports. FFS at least just tell the truth!! Contemptible cowardice.”
When a user tried to explain to Disney that D&Cs are standard after miscarriages, Disney defended “getting into politics” because you have to “if you want to walk around with a uterus.”
Disney was not the only woke pro-abortion activist to be cruel during Duggar Seewalds’ tragedy. Parade Magazine called it a “life-saving abortion.” Pro-abortion writer Josie Duffy Rice said, “To be clear this is a member of one of the most famous vocally anti-abortion families……admitting she got an abortion……”
An abortion is a medical procedure to terminate a pregnancy, resulting in the death of an embryo or fetus. Disney is condemning Duggar Seewald for not admitting to purposely terminating her baby’s life, when the truth is, her child experienced a natural death in the womb.
Some doctors recommend waiting to see if the child will pass through their mother naturally to avoid surgery. That is not always an option or a preferred method for women after a pregnancy loss. The purpose of Duggar Seewald’s D&C was to protect her from septic shock, not to take her child’s life via dismemberment.
Duggar Seewald announced she would be taking a break from social media for a while. In the meantime, she’s taking comfort in her husband, her other children, and her faith. Reflecting on the tragedies that Job endured in the Bible, Duggar Seewald was able to thank God through her tears. “I was able to thank God in that moment for giving us this life, even if we wouldn’t be able to hold this baby in our arms.”
