Chris Harrison Fired, Proves Bowing to the Mob Doesn't Work
/The Church of “Woke” is a dangerous and unforgiving cult. It’s a religion with no grace, mercy, or forgiveness. It expects you to repent without any intention of granting you absolution. You can grovel, beg, apologize to their specifications, or even attend their indoctrination seminars, but it still won’t be enough to save you from their scorn.
Chris Harrison is the current example of this destructive reality.
The AP is reporting Chris Harrison will not be hosting the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, according to a statement by ABC Entertainment and Warner Horizon.
Harrison asked the world to have grace for contestant Rachael Kirkconnell, after fans went scouring through her social media. Outrage spawned from a college party, in 2018, with an Antebellum theme. During an interview with Rachel Lindsay, the first black bachelorette, Harrison said he would press Kirkconnell to find the truth. But the internet saw Harrison as excusing racism by noting millions of people did the same thing in 2018, and 2021 has different standards.
Harrison thought he was having an honest and open conversation, but Lindsay admitted in another interview with The Ringer she was probing Harrison, essentially giving him a rope to hang himself. Lindsay said she was “boiling” when Harrison suggested having grace for Kirkconnell, rather than victims—like herself—who were hurt by Kirkconnell’s actions.
Rachel Lindsay is not a victim because Kirkconnell went to a party and put on an old dress.
Did Kirkconnell go to that college party to celebrate slavery? Is she a racist celebrating racism? Does intent even matter? In our justice system, the intent is everything. It dictates what sort of charges and punishment is acceptable. Whether Kirkconnell or Harrison are genuine racists or acted out of ignorance, isn’t even an allowed topic of discussion. The woke police have deemed them guilty, and the price is their heads.
They apologized, told people not to defend them, and claimed they were not victims. Harrison went on Good Morning America and apologized for saying anything in Kirkconnell’s defense. So, now he’s taken back ever asking for grace?
Michael Strahan, who conducted the interview, questioned Harrison’s sincerity. It just goes to show you, apologies don’t truly matter to the mob. But to be fair to Strahan, Harrison did possess the look of a hostage being held at gunpoint.
Harrison said he was being “counseled” by Pastor and activist Michael Dyson, who once called Professor Jordan Peterson a “mean, mad white man” at the Munk debate. He wouldn’t be my go-to person, but he’s got the right ideology for the woke crowd.
But that wasn’t enough.
Harrison says he’s not a victim, and that’s true. When you lay down in the middle of the forest and allow the bear to eat you, I guess you’re not. That doesn’t mean a wrong wasn’t committed against him.
I understand Chris Harrison doing everything he could to keep his job. Who knows? ABC may bring him back. But to roll over and take back everything, was disappointing. A majority of what he said to Rachel Lindsay was totally reasonable. The woke police were offended by Harrison uttering, “woke police,” yet they proved his point by demanding his head on a pike.
If you had any question whether it was more beneficial to be a Gina Carano—who was willing to apologize yet logically state her positions and was fired for it—or be Chris Harrison and totally bow down to cancel culture’s demands, you have your answer.
I’m glad The Daily Wire stuck up for Gina Carano and is working on a film with her. I hope Disney reverses its decision on Chris Harrison.
But it’s clear, bending the knee to a mad tyrant will result in ash.
