"Devout Catholic" Biden Disagrees with the Catholic Church

Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked yesterday if the president had a personal response to the Vatican, affirming they will not bless same-sex marriages. “He continues to believe and support same-sex unions, as you know, and he’s long had that position.

If by “long” Psaki means since 2012, sure. Biden, like many politicians, supported traditional marriage and even voted for the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996. But as the wind blows, so do Biden’s positions.

“Devout Catholic” Biden also changed his opinion on the Hyde Amendment after the Twitter mob pounced during the Democrat primaries. He shifted from a long-standing view, rooted in his religious principles, to telling Bernie he only voted to preserve Hyde over political realities to get other bills passed. It’s one thing to respect the reality of Roe V Wade. It’s another to believe American tax dollars should fund executions of children in the womb.

If Christians are banking on Biden being respectful to their beliefs while being politically fair, they’re not living in a reality rooted in history. The Obama-Biden Administration caused religious battles, such as with the Little Sisters of the Poor. Biden came back with a vengeance and nominated radicals like California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who sued the Trump Administration for protecting the Little Sisters, to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. Biden nominated a man with no health expertise, and who is a blatant partisan, and a threat to religious liberty.

Biden also picked Vice-President Kamala Harris, who moved to prosecute activist David Daleiden for exposing Planned Parenthood’s selling of baby body parts. He’s surrounded himself with blindly partisan figures dedicated to their ideology of transforming American into a regressive nightmare rather than upholding his promise of “unity.”

Biden has gone further than simply supporting same-sex marriage politically. In 2016, he officiated a same-sex wedding. If you’re “devout” it would suggest that you subscribe to the tenants of the faith. To break so hard with the church suggests “devout” was merely a smokescreen to blind evangelicals from his intention of tearing down religious institutions.

If the Equality Act passes Congress, Biden will sign it and fundamentally change America. It will put the church on a fast track toward persecution. Biden is ready to dismantle your liberty because he’s only devout to leftism.
